Tactical time-outs an increasing problem in football. A few PL clubs do it. Even England have done it. Caoimhin Kelleher may have genuinely been injured - he was able to play on - but Leeds United’s frustration at the disruption was understandable. They were building, had brought on subs and then the game paused. Daniel Farke already raised concerns earlier this season. Gianluigi Donnarumma went down and Manchester City players went to touchline for instructions. Farke asked the fourth official if he was going to do something. Officials’ hands are tied at the moment. Teams getting round rule for outfield players to go off for 30 seconds after treatment. Now goalkeepers used for tactical timeouts. IFAB has discussed a nominated outfield player going off for 30 seconds if a keeper has treatment. But concern that a keeper could genuinely have been injured. Possible solution is for players to be stopped from going to the touchline during stoppages or ordered to stay in the centre circle.  Be interesting to see whether World Cup refs clamp down. It’s seeking an advantage by breaking up opposition’s flow, by giving the manager an opportunity for instructions and also it’s time-wasting - and there’s enough of that spoiling games.

🇬🇧🧤Goalkeeper Sam Edwards has been selected to represent Great Britain Under 23s at the Deaf World Cup in Serbia this May! This is a fantastic achievement, but unfortunately the team does not receive financial backing from the government, meaning players must self-fund their place in the tournament. Sam is aiming to raise £2,000 to cover the costs of competing on the world stage. Any support would be hugely appreciated as he looks to represent both club and country with pride. This is just more proof that the beautiful game is dying. Keep an eye on the Forest keeper from last night. Blatant cheating, to time waste and take pressure off. Every club is doing it, it’s not football, the entertainment factor has gone thanks to the @premierleague

Fabian Hurzeler just became my favourite person. Telling us what we are all thinking 👏
Connor Humm@TikiTakaConnor

Watch the full extraordinary war of words between Fabian Hürzeler vs. Mikel Arteta after Arsenal beat Brighton 1-0. 🧂 Hürzeler: “There are different kinds of winning. So if they win the Premier League, no one will ask how they win the Premier League. I think you can really feel that. They do everything now to win this game and in the end it's about the rules. “So if the Premier League is the referee's decision, then it's difficult. They [Arsenal] make their own rules. At the moment, I have the feeling they are doing their own rules no matter how they are playing. So that's why I think it's difficult to judge that. “Overall, like I said, I will never be that kind of manager who tries to win in that way. I want to do well as players. I want my players to keep improving and keep playing football on the pitch. “In the end, of course, every team will manage and waste time but I think there has to be a limit and the limit has to be set by the Premier League. The limit has to be set by the referees. At the moment, they just can do what they want. “We will get the statistics for that. I made my point before the game and I stick to it and everyone else can judge it on his own. I'm not sure if I would ask now, everyone here in the room. Did he really enjoy this football game? “I'm sure maybe one raises his arm because he's a big Arsenal fan. But beside that, no chance. So that's why, again, it's just a repetition. We waste too much time about talking about Arsenal and their game.” Arteta responded: “What a surprise…” “Just go back for the previous games and you will find a lot of comments like this always. “I love my players, that's the highlight. I love my players, we love our players and I love the way we compete.“
