To conclude #womenshistorymonth we are honoring Patsy Mink, who was a politician and attorney from Hawaii. She became the 1st woman of color elected to the US House of Representatives, 1st Asian American to serve in congress and run for president! @ywprep @Ysleta_YWLA @YsletaISD

Today for #womenshistorymonth we are honoring Kalpana Chawla, an astronaut and engineer! In 1997, she was the first Indian woman to go to space. She led groundbreaking research for NASA and opened the door for many future opportunities! @ywprep @Ysleta_YWLA #NHS @YsletaISD

For the last week of #womenshistorymonth we’d like to celebrate Dolores Huerta. She was a labor leader and a civil rights activist who fought against discrimination and strived for better economic and social conditions for farm workers! #NHS @Ysleta_YWLA @ywprep @YsletaISD
