Proudly ‘off-Flint.’ Family and special people at the heart of my life. Animal lover, footballer, and motor-biker. Straightforward - genuine - no pretence!

Join over 50,000 people in signing the FSU’s petition to SAVE JURY TRIALS. David Lammy is ploughing ahead with plans to restrict our ancient right to trial by jury. He claims it is the only way to tackle the backlog of 80,000 cases in the Crown Court. He is wrong. The Institute for Government has said his plan would save only 2 per cent of Crown Court time, not the 20 per cent promised by ministers. Judges, lawyers, MPs and victims of crime have all warned against the Government’s proposals, saying they would undermine public trust in the criminal justice system. FSU research has shown that those charged with speech-related offences are almost twice as likely to be found not guilty in a Crown Court trial before a jury than in a magistrates’ court without one. If David Lammy gets his way, more people will be punished simply for exercising their right to free speech. Sign below 👇

It’s just common sense.

78 children - some under 13 - potentially harmed by gender medication prescribed without proper checks. In Wales, we urgently need proper scrutiny of the Welsh Gender Service to ensure it meets the Cass Review standard.

Plaid’s flagship policy could cost the taxpayer £587 million once real-world impacts are included. They won’t reveal their figures because they have no plan to pay for it. The public deserves the facts.

Why can't the people of Wales see Plaid's costings on their childcare plan?

@CristianaEmsley @WRNWales How fantastic to hear such measured, unafraid and powerful words in the Senedd Siambr. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact you’ll make in Welsh politics Cristiana. You are great news for the women and girls of Wales. 🏴

Diolch to Art Wright MS @Art93229Art for raising the important issue of single sex spaces for women and girls. There are many new MSs like Art, who are fresh to politics, but have stepped up to represent their fellow citizens 👏 The professional political classes should reflect why so many from outside their comfortable ranks were so popular with voters - rather than sneering at them. Art is an armed services veteran. Surely that should command a little respect, rather than political snobbery? nation.cymru/news/awkward-s…

Reform MS @joemartin1066 perfectly exposes how the First Minister can never give a straight answer to any question. Masterclass in dodging. 😆

Very chilling authoritarian move by Andy Burnham. He commanded Senior figures at Manchester's Fire & Rescue Service to have words with Firefighters who support Reform UK, saying it was a cause for 'concern'. Make no mistake about it, Andy as PM will be a threat to free speech.

The Sustainable Farming Scheme is too complex, too rigid and buried in paperwork. Farmers are being asked to take on uncertainty and risk with little flexibility in return. @LauraJ4SWEast: We need a more practical, common-sense approach that works with farmers, not against them.
