Our final post this week to raise awareness of the launch of the Safe Learning Environment charter, is simply thank you! Thank you to our amazing, inspiring and compassionate practice assessors, supervisors and educators for all that you do to support our learners in practice 🌟

The Safe Learning Environment Charter advocates calling our students by their first name, to help create sense of belonging. Our partner @NorthumbriaUni leads the way to encourage positive identity through embroidered ‘hello my name is’ uniforms. A fantastic successful initiative

Our next nominated lead session is on Wednesday 4th December at 1.30pm, RVI culture centre, meeting room 2. This can be booked via the learning lab, we look forward to seeing our nominated leads there!

The nominated lead is a crucial role in ensuring the safe & effective supervision of students on placement, in line with the Safe Learning Environment Charter. Our multi professional nominated lead workshops are a great opportunity to share good practice & quality improvement 🌟

🟡A golden thread that runs through the Safe Learning Environment Charter is Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. We are committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive organisation, ensuring that we harness the talents of all our staff and student. Our networks are open to all!

The Chairs of all our networks sit on the EDI Steering Group and also have monthly meetings with our CEO, so the voices of the members are heard at the highest levels.

Our staff networks support a fairer and more diverse NHS for everyone. They are instrumental in delivering a health service where equality, diversity and inclusion are embraced and communicated in the everyday work of staff.

An essential part of the Safe Learning Environment Charter is to ensure our students feel respected and valued. Our student voice forum provides a psychologically safe space to reflect, share experiences & multidisciplinary learning. Our next session: 16/12 9.30am FRH education

Teaching and learning needs is a key priority within the Safe Learning Environment Charter, advocating for varied and dynamic education methods. Today we celebrate our wonderful 3rd year BSc adult nursing students who recently completed their QI Dragons Den project. Well done 🌟

Another priority within the Safe Learning Environment Charter is to ensure the senior leadership team for practice education are visible and accessible to learners from the start of placement. We love meeting all of our students at induction, welcoming everyone to our Trust! 👋🏻
