@ThomasBRoberts3 @twibuznews I’m studying to become a (non animal) prosthetist and have very little exposure to horses. But I was genuinely under the impression that a horse got euthanized if they broke their leg and it showed poor signs of healing. I’m very surprised it was allowed an amputation at all.

This doesn't work in horses the way it might in other animals. The prosthetics have a hard time bearing the weight and forces their natural leg did. They sense something wrong and will instinctually shift weight to their other legs, causing damage to those. You're not improving quality of life. You're setting the horse up for a painful existence that will end in euthanasia just as most severe leg injuries do.

They decorated the statues on my campus for the holidays but it was freezing cold and not at the building I was going to do I didn’t get to see it up close 🥹

@illicitmoonie It depends on if it was his only disability. If he is simply without limbs he can adapt and live a fulfilling life but if he has a condition that will cause him undue pain and constant suffering until he eventually dies I agree. But that doesn’t look like it’s the case.

@FrillyGraveyard @q_trelapsing @lsdcuredme Definitely different places different scenarios. I live in a smallish Appalachian town and I’ve seen a mix of both. Mostly women are the one who are refusing foods that aren’t sealed which makes me extremely worried.

@q_trelapsing @lsdcuredme I like in rural florida where assholes constantly make fun of our homeless and and mess with them to the point they've literally started putting in their signs they only want sealed food or money. I think I’m gonna stop turning in my assignments for Eng comp. She keeps falsely accusing me of ai use so I’m getting a 0 no matter if I put in the work or not so if I just skip out I can focus on getting 100s on my other classes.
