@ookiimarukochan Yeah I have to run an entirely separate Windows PC with two 10TB+ drives as my backup PC to make it work. I do have three copies of my data on site though which is nice. I don’t have enough backup vs copies though, it’s an ongoing process.

@PCurd Our workflow is fairly NAS centric so that would be enough irritation / expense per month that I think Crashplan is best, but there's def an extent to which it feels like the various backup companies make it difficult to compare services / pricing, deliberately

Installed Portainer on my NAS to manage my apps (mainly Crashplan tbh) and found 5+ GB of no longer used images, whoops

@ookiimarukochan Oh sorry for being confusing :) I use the personal level of Backblaze which means unlimited data (I have about 10TB) but I have to run an entire machine with its own copy of my data. I think it’s cheaper, but it is a pain.

@PCurd Oh just realised you meant pro for crashplan - yeah I stuck with them, Backblaze is $5/TB/month which would be $30 a month

@ookiimarukochan I moved to Backblaze, one day I’ll move to full block level storage but it looks like effort

@PCurd My needs are not great, this is enough (also rolled out watchtower which I learned about yesterday, means that I can stop rebuilding crashplan by hand every time a new version comes out)

@blowdart Good work life balance is reasonable if you have a good boss but low stress is weird. Maybe on a mature product with a stable pipeline. Not anywhere I’ve ever seen!

Taking the day off sick so your orders will be sent out as soon as I'm back in action. Being poorly's a pain when you're a one person business! 😅😭

Dear @YouGov - neither of these options is a “problem” any government needs to “fix.” You - or the client who commissioned you - is stoking division and hatred. Fuck off

@ookiimarukochan @GOGcom I’ve been playing DA:O for 15 years but I was definitely not a child when I bought it - not really a “for children” kind of game.

Thanks very much @GOGcom for suggesting that game that came out less than 15 years ago were "when you were... a child"

@cakeswithfaces Yep, I use mine for going to work - day to day I use an Airpop because it’s more convenient but it’s not good for a long period

@PCurd Thanks! Only had to wear mine for short periods as I'm such a hermit, but will prob need to wear one all day in Japan, and on a long haul flight.

@Templesmith Yep same as the Conservative Party elections here - majority for leader, FPTP for MPs

@PCurd Maybe I got it around the wrong way, I dunno. Hahah. It's still the opposite of all their elections to become reps though. They don't need a majority of voters to get in. But you need a majority of house members to be speaker, not just "the most votes".

I do love politics, the process of it, across different countries & how they do it. But I'll be buggered if a vote for US Speaker is more democratic than the actual elections. They need a *plurality of votes* to win, instead of just *the most*. How ironic.
