@JWonCATCHING Seen multiple players tear their ACL/MCL coming into home plate standing. The surface of the plate is so inconsistent. I would never advise that, but that's my opinion. I'm also not against sliding head first into HP, again my opinion. Play hard, let your instincts take over.

Hey @USABChamps_AZ it isn’t a balk when nobody is on base and the pitcher starts his delivery and stops. Umpire awarded the hitter a ball which changed the dynamic of the at bat. Dude got walked and eventually scored the winning run. Clean it up guys

Boy watching UC Davis hit in BP, it’s like watching a bunch of cloned hitters trying to sit on backside but no rhythm or feel in their hitting actions.Many times late getting foot down,rolling on way to many balls.Just looked at averages one guy hitting over 300. Every guy same.

Shortstop is by far the strongest position in SoCal high school baseball this spring. Just think of these names: Gavin Grahovac, Roman Martin, Cameron Kim, Jonathan Mendez, Abbie Covarrubias. Let me add 10 more.

Beating the ball to the spot allows your lower half to get in position to throw efficiently. Cut the distance if you can and get your hips cleared to throw. Lower half slightly staggered while shoulders remain square to the ball. Efficiency w/out sacrificing ball security is 🔑

This push bunt is basically a running sacrifice bunt into the “Bermuda Triangle.” Notice how P,2B & 1B are all going for the ball. Not easy to defend even when you are looking for it.While the BHB to 3B is easy to defend by positioning one player(3B) in the hitter’s face.

I'm 💯% for transferring the ball in the center of my body. I also know that U better have a full tool box of different transfers when it comes to playing SS at the highest level. When trained correctly U can have freedom/confidence to make plays w/out sacrificing ball security.

I see a lot of infielders off balance when going to their right on DP feeds. Foundation is key when making this type of feed. Once the foundation is laid it's easier to make adjustments concerning arm angle and maintaining posture throughout the play. Keep getting better fellas!

**Reading hops** Being able to control your small steps is important when selecting the correct hop. Some amateurs struggle with this causing poor timing, poor alignment and running yourself into tough hops. Good infielders are able to play at different speeds when needed.

Some video from yesterday's infield clinic in San Diego. Great dialog with some great coaches. Always fun talking infield play/finding new ways to help players achieve their dreams. Also, got hang out with some old friends at the AC Underclass games. San Diego never disappoints.
