Yesterday was awesome for me. I won my first ever business pitch. Funny enough, I was very skeptical about even participating. I almost didn’t go, hence I’m super thankful to my friends and colleagues for cheering me on😊. Thank you to LAPO Microfinance Bank for organizing this.

Going to school is good. Get your degree. Pass your exams. Make your family proud. But please, do not just go to school. Learn.📌 ✅Learn how to speak confidently. ✅Learn to express your thoughts clearly. Enter a room without shrinking. Ask questions.

I’m deeply honoured to share that I have been appointed as a Member of the Welfare Committee, Law Students’ Association, University of Benin. To serve the student community in this capacity is not something I take lightly.

To mark the International Day of Education, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Uniben Chapter took action where it mattered the most. We visited an IDP camp in Benin City, Edo State, where we distributed writing materials including books, pens, rulers e.t.c.

Sometime last month, as the Vice Chairperson of FIDA (International federation of women lawyers- Uniben Chapter), alongside my Chairperson and fellow EXCOs, we planned an outreach to an IDP camp in Benin city in commemoration of the international day of education,

Every journey begins with a single step, and every meaningful journey eventually finds its close.✅My journey with the @Millennium Campus Network (MCN) began with an application, two verification stages, being awarded as a Millennium campus fellow and it ended with a certificate

Being there reminded me of what real service looks like. Showing up, connecting with children, and planting seeds that can shape lives beyond that moment. What stood out most was how clearly the foundation lives out its values: Vision✨. Empowerment✊. Upliftment ⬆️.

Everyone has what they love. For me, it is making impact.☺️ I recently had the incredible opportunity to be part of a school outreach program proudly organized by the VEU Impact Foundation, and it meant a lot to me.❤️

Starting the new year as a research assistant has been quite thrilling for me.🤩 I am currently gathering data on the rights of prisoners with disabilities in correctional centres across Edo State, and the experience has already been eye-opening.

Today is International Human Rights Day, and I attended a program focused on “Human Rights and the Rising Insecurity in Nigeria.”🇳🇬 Listening to seasoned veterans in the field gave me a deeper understanding of the realities people face every day.😩

It is easy to feel pushed into sharing intimate photos to “prove” affection or trust.😣 But once an image leaves your phone, you lose control of it. Screenshots and forwarded files can follow you for years.🥲 Digital boundaries matter. ✅ You are allowed to say no.✅

If you ask me what leaders do, I’ll tell you they serve. And by serve, I mean they volunteer.✅ Volunteering teaches me to show up without waiting to be asked. 🫴 Volunteering builds discipline, humility and a sense of responsibility.

They said ensure you attend seminars so you can experience life and network outside the classroom so I did just that……🌝 Over the week, I attended a FIDA program titled “Women in Leadership and Political Positions: The Audacity to Hope.”✨

What started small has grown into something I’ll always be proud of🥹. Today, I celebrate completing the Millennium Fellowship🎉. I’m grateful for the lessons, the people I met and the doors this experience has opened✨.
