@maiden_of_spear I don't know if the quality has changed or my reading tastes have, but I know it was a bit of a struggle adjusting to his style in WaT.

I am sorry but I do think Sanderson's prose has taken a major hit over the years... if you read Way of Kings and then Wind and Truth you will notice a heavy downgrade in quality... at least I believe so, other people think otherwise which is also fine I am just a bit frustrated

@geryrrs This is all true, except Min also doesn't always respect his consent. See examples such as sitting on his lap when he's clearly uncomfortable. I think of his options, Elayne makes me the least uncomfortable because she liked him without any sort of future vision to tell her to.

Rand barely showed interest in women, yet everyone kept pushing them on him. Eg and Avi with Elayne, the Wise Ones with Aviendha, Berelain trying to seduce him at every turn, and Alanna bonding him without consent just to possess him. That’s why Min is my favorite of all of them.

Went to #TransSiberianOrchestra concert for the first time in years last night. The music was amazing, as always, but I was really disappointed to see seemingly AI generated art used in the backdrops. Not only did it look bad, but it's sad to see. Artists should uplift artists!

@lvzlvs It's incredibly of it's time, but it's pretty good! Definitely worth it if you have a particular interest in the history of the fantasy genre or classic fantasy. If you're just looking for good epic fantasy, it's worth a try.

The wheel of time is actually great, season 1 started slow but it got better with each episode, a great series to binge. Season 2 is so so good.

I've given up on staying on top of book reviews, but let me loudly exclaim that I loved Here We Go Again by Alison Cochrun! It broke my heart and stitched it together again, and now I'm sobbing over tea at 10 in the morning.
