Federal investigators found that property managers allegedly sexually harassed female tenants for years — making unwanted advances, offering housing benefits in exchange for sexual acts, entering homes without permission and retaliating against tenants who refused.

The U.S. Department of Justice has secured a $850,000 settlement in a sexual harassment housing case in Kentucky.

After a two-year investigation, HOPE Fair Housing Center and Chicago resident Caroline Bermudez filed a lawsuit against the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), alleging neglect of its scattered-site housing properties.
