Tucker Carlson just declared that American farmers are “victims” of Big Agriculture’s “abuse.” “They’re the ones getting cancer.” Farmer Zach Lahn joined Tucker and revealed a shocking statistic about cancer and pesticides like glyphosate and paraquat: “Ag is the largest industry [in Iowa], and … we have the fastest rate of new cancer of anywhere in the history of human civilization.” “I’m not trying to tell farmers how they have to farm.” “We run a regenerative farm, a lot of it’s organic.” This is exactly why Farm Action is fighting for independent farmers against the corporate monopolies that dominate our food system. Farmers are not the enemy. Farmers are victims of a corrupt system that requires them to use pesticides like glyphosate and paraquat that poisons them, or else they’ll be forced out of business. Our goal is not to tell farmers how to farm. Our goal is to empower farmers to run sustainable, organic farms that they can pass on to their children, and to free them from the shackles that corporate monopolies have bound them to. But we’re in an uphill battle against these powerful monopolies, and we need all hands on deck to defend independent farmers. Join our fight below:🧵 @TuckerCarlson @ZachLahn
