Does such a church exist in Christendom: -Traditional Hymns, choirs with robes, organists, and NO electric guitars. -National (but generally decentralized) Organization. -Not aligned with political “charity” efforts to import the 3rd world and teach them how to rob the welfare state. -Wooden pews, lobby doesn’t look like a dentist office. -Male clergy. -Enforces a dress code (no shorts, flip flops, ball caps, etc). -Bans incompatible ideologues from staff/clergy (Marxism, Sciencism, Universalism, Racism, Socialism, or “Rainbow flag cabals”, etc). -Rejects wackadoodle strains such as Dispensationalism.

Yes 1. It is a visible, unified Church 2. Authority is centered in the apostles 3. Peter has a leading role 4. The Church makes binding decisions 5.Sacramental life is already there 6. Worship is liturgical, not casual only 7. Ordained ministry appears distinct from the laity 8. The Church sees itself as the continuation of Israel

The tone deafness of many Christians concerning IVF is unbelievable. In a “Christian IVF Group”, I just read a post about a woman who is deciding what to do about one of her embryos (note: this is one of TEN embryos she currently has) that has a genetic abnormality. The comment section is very full of, “All embryos are human beings worthy of life”, and “That is your child… would you kill your born child with a genetic issue?” 🤨 There’s also a lot of, “This is very different from abortion - you do what you feel is right.” And I just can’t wrap my mind around the mental gymnastics these Christians are doing to convince themselves that creating humans in a dish, freezing them, testing them, discarding them and selling off/ giving away the “extras” to other people is anything close to something God would condone. Which is it? Are embryos human beings or not? Since when is it ok to create multiple human beings on the quest for the “perfect one”? Since when is it ok to freeze human beings, thaw human beings, grade them, pick and choose human beings, throw human beings out like trash etc… This is not you “partnering with God to create a miracle”; it’s child sacrifice and human trafficking. #ivf #humantrafficking #abortion

@JoshuaBarzon We have writings from within 80 years of Christ’s ascension confirming a threefold order of ministry. Are you telling me Peter and Paul’s disciples had a misunderstanding of the church structure? You literally posted about BISHOP Patrick earlier today.

Pastor, elder, and overseer are not three different offices in the New Testament. They are three terms describing the same role from different angles. Acts 20:17-28 and 1 Peter 5:1-5 use all three interchangeably for the same group of men in the same church.

A church should have a coat of arms, the creeds, and a patron saint, not a logo and brand identity.

@rdhasler Should missions (church planting) occur in already Christianized areas?

Folks ask me how it feels to be jumping into church planting, and I tell them it’s a strange combination of excitement, nerves, some intimidation, and a lot hope. One thing I don’t feel is confusion because Christ has told us in His word exactly what the church is supposed to do. Be devoted to the Word, the sacrament, prayer, and the fellowship of the saints. Through these ordinary means, church plants have the awesome opportunity to witness the extraordinary work of Jesus happening in our world today.
