My heart breaks today for my daughter.
When she moved out on her own, the first dog she got was a German Shepherd.
He dealt with bad skin issues throughout his life, but she continued doing the best she could for years to take care of him.
Today she had to put him down.

Before I was sworn is as Governor, Representative Mike Clampitt was one of the first people I called as we worked to rebuild western NC after Hurricane Helene. He was a steadfast public servant for his community in WNC, and today I am saddened by the news of his passing. May his memory be a blessing.
