I thought this would hurt more than 2016 but it doesn't. That was a shock. This is just confirmation. We now know that 2016 wasn't a fluke or an aberration, that this is what the majority wants: whiteness, patriarchy, nationalism, hatred, nihilism. Whether I want to spend the rest of my life in such a place is something my mind isn't prepared to consider. Right now, I just know that I'm seeing the nation with my eyes fully open and there is no mistaking what so many people I Ioved and once respected, actually value. As heartbreaking as that is, I now know where they stand, and I know it's nowhere I want to be.

Democracy is clarity. As a student of human behavior, I believe it reflects the will of the people. The race is not over but the blame game has begun. I will not let the pundits scapegoat Black voters. I will not let you scapegoat Arab American voters. Not even the shift of Latino voters. Donald Trump was supported by White men, White women, non college educated and college educated. Suburban White women and rural White women by a majority. It’s clear that my neighbors, coworkers, and friends have no problem with a convicted felon, convicted rapist, racist, and misogynist leading their government. They share his values. People show you who they are.

For the people who don’t understand what a malignant narcissist is all about, I just want to share this one example that is a very textbook example of all malignant narcissists. My abusive dad who is a malignant narcissist, wanted to push the narrative that I was the problem. So he insisted that I go to a psychiatrist and he led the psychiatrist on with a false narrative that I was problematic and I think he even was telling the doctor false symptoms that I wasn’t actually experiencing because he wanted the doctor to have a bias thinking I was problematic. I spoke to the doctor and we had a nice conversation and I told the doctor what was going on at home and the doctor understood that I was being abused psychologically. And for the first time I felt relief that maybe I would get some support for this nightmare I was living in. (I was around 12-13) And the doctor asked to speak with my abuser and very gently suggested that he should give me more space, that he was crossing personal boundaries. and my abuser didn’t even bother speaking, he just started screaming at the top of his lungs right there in the doctors office. Screaming. Calling the doctor crazy and insane and a lunatic. I never saw that doctor again. This is how malignant narcissists face reality. They deny it. They attack the truth teller. They attack the mediators. They attack reality, they attack anything that doesn’t conform to their false sense of reality.

It is a DANGEROUS assumption that narcissists/psychopaths want to be better people. Those targeted by dark personalities are well intentioned & caring. They generally like to help others. Dark personalities have a completely different motivation to the rest of us however. They are driven by control, sadism, deceit, manipulation. They do not experience fear or shame, and as such believe they are superior to the rest of the population. They do not want to change. Any attempts to help them improve their hurtful and nefarious behaviors are often somehow used against the person trying to help them.

Be advised that this entire hellsite will become a rancid cesspool of lies and disinformation tonight and through the next several days. It was purchased and restructured for this precise purpose. Expect nothing less than a projectile vomiting of hype, falsehoods and petulant rage. And, of course, keep moving forward and toward the light. We can do this.
