Great being on the PA House floor! I felt vindicated after an “arrest warrant” issued 6 days from an election was proven bogus. Serious legal & criminal issues do remain for Philly’s DAs Office & others. Winning elections can never legitimize falsely imprisoning your opponent!

Preserving mental health screenings are covered by insurance policies of Pennsylvanians is key. That’s why I’m pleased the PA House passed my bill to make this coverage state law. This is necessary after a federal judge struck down portions of the Affordable Care Act.
PA House Democrats@PaHouseDems

Every Pennsylvanian deserves basic healthcare without financial barriers. We passed a bill that requires health insurers to cover preventive services, including cancer screening and mental health treatment, without copays or deductibles. @RepKevinBoyle

Incorrect. 1) pollsters Ashcroft & also Lucid have showed significant tightening on the constitutional border question particularly post Brexit. Only much more circumspect face to face polling has a wide gap. 2) Maybe 1% of those from a Irish/Catholic background vote for a unionist party. Clearly ethnic identity is a major determining factor in NI elections. 3) nationalist vote surged to a record 44% when properly including small parties & independents. Crucially the combined unionist vote has plunged to barely 40%. My broader point is that 40% is only going to decrease with demographic trends being what they are.

@RepKevinBoyle Demographics is not destiny. The rise in numbers of catholics may have increased but the number of those seeking Irish unity is still at 40% mark even after a period of 25 years so no, demographics is not destiny. Secondly religious affiliation doesnt determine political views

Demographics are often destiny. Irish nationalists surpassing British unionists in the N Ireland election is a permanent trend. Those under 18 are 3 to 2 Irish/Catholic while 85+ are 2 to 1 British/Protestant. Inevitably after proper preparation a border poll will have to occur.

@Marleymo6 Look at Alliance Party & Green Party transfers in the last Assembly election. They were over 3 to 2 nationalist. Stop trying to deny democracy and the inevitable which is a united Ireland.

It’s unfortunate that @RepKevinBoyle has as much diplomacy as a fart in a spacesuit… if he acquainted himself with Dr Peter Shirlows studies he would find that approximately 75% of non voters WOULD be pro union.. Don’t be too hasty with the snide comments Sir. 😉

Unfortunate Northern Ireland pro British Unionism has become increasingly anti American. It’s important to keep in mind British unionism in N Ireland is a minority political view anymore (just about 40% of the vote in the six counties.)

'Joe Biden hates the UK, I don't think there's any doubt about that.' Former First Minister of Northern Ireland Dame Arlene Foster says that Joe Biden's visit to Northern Ireland 'won't put any pressure on the DUP because he's seen by so many people as simply pro-republic'.

One of Obamacare’s greatest feats has been mandated coverage for mental health & other preventative care. Unfortunately a federal court in Texas has deemed this unconstitutional. As this plays out legally I am now introducing a bill to keep this coverage as law in Pennsylvania.

Inbox: House Insurance Committee Chair Kevin Boyle (D., Philly) says he will introduce legislation to formalize ACA preventive care protections into Pennsylvania law. “Ensuring access to preventative health care just makes sense —preventative care saves lives and money. "

Happy St Patrick’s Day - Honored to join Philadelphia Irish Americans commemorating An Gorta Mor (The Irish Hunger) of the 1840s. Let’s never forget those 1 million Irish who died of starvation & 1 million more forced to flee their homeland due to British colonial policies.

RIP to my good friend Irish patriot Rita O’Hare. When history books are written about protecting the Good Friday Agreement particularly post Brexit Rita will be key. She labored hard & effectively in the US to prevent a hard border returning to Ireland. irishcentral.com/opinion/niallo…

@KevinPMeagher If this Bel Tel poll was to believed it would mean these Alliance Party transfers which went majority SF are in fact unionists in a referendum vote. Nonsense.

@KevinPMeagher Was this face to face polling again? We’ve always seen this skewed to the Unionist position. Face to face polling is largely unheard of in the US because it’s biased for a lot of pretty obvious factors.

@MisssPatrice If you like “over the top” you’ve got to try a college football game in the South - Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, etc. Massive marching bands, people tailgating for days and a lot more.
