Is LSU a better basketball job than NC State? Or is it more about money for Will Wade? Or is it simply about going back somewhere to finish what he started before he was let go? Just curious the “why” behind it all …

@TrippyAiArt @LupusBeowulf Ehhh I get your Tarheel hate of the Pack but they have won 20+ games in 17 of last 25 seasons. Nothing stellar but consistently top half of ACC. Bad stretch in conference from 2006-2010. Sidney Lowe was a terrible coach.

They lost the last 5 games in the regular season that year...been trash and always will

Wade better hope he crushes it at LSU. Because if he falters and gets fired - there won’t be a program in the country that will hire him. You get second chances. You don’t get thirds.

@Repete4VT LSU as an institution cares so little about basketball they sacrificed Will Wade already in a prayer to save another sport. I would never, ever go back to an institution that already showed me I’m so little of a priority that they’d bow to the NCAA of all orgs to save me

Will Wade going back to LSU would be kind of embarrassing. They threw him right under the bus to appease the NCAA and he crawls back when NC State is arguably a better job?

@treadmillhorse Not really since word is he has given them a couple weeks to match. He has given them an opportunity to demonstrate they are serious about basketball. Besides LSU is about to hire his former AD boss from McNeese State, who helped Wade reestablish himself in the first place.

@VTCam_ Really painful to watch the basics fall apart over and over. Pretty sure that was the 14th unearned run this season. Basically one every other game. Then you have the ACC worst ERA on top of that. Over 8 and almost 1.5 worse than next team.

@DaveScarangella They managed to overcome but so hard to watch this team. First ACC series win in almost a year. First time beating Duke since 2022.
