@NoQuarterSoft From the perspective of someone who buys a lot of indies and usually waits for sales, it can be a huge incentive and even determining factor on whether to get a game on launch day.

Question for indie devs/publishers. What is the point of a launch discount? Users are already pinged about the games launch without it. Besides being cool does it offer any incentive algorithmically?

@ChristinaTasty Ashley being known and reviled by the fanbase as the "space racist" of the group while half your crew are worse racists or just worse people in general is pretty funny.
Meanwhile she was very tame for the standards of the setting and actively hated the actual human supremacists

She was an amazing figure with convictions beyond the norm, but then sorta went... eh.

The Ghost Stories dub is like ground zero for all the modern problems with localization. It was made by a failed screenwriter who didn't like anime. Their justification for the dub was "It didn't do well Japan so they said we could do anything to make it sell" which is untrue.

A lot of anime shows dubbed into English are often very "woke". However, the official English dub of "Ghost Stories" is completely crazy lol. The original show in Japanese is nothing like this.

@romly2023 Completely agreed. When I watch anime I want the nuances and details of the culture to be preserved, not to be replaced with Western culture.

ツンデレを "fragile male ego" はちょっとなぁ。最近のX見てると、訳す訳さないの判断も含めてAI翻訳はかなり優秀だ。と言ってもミスもまだまだある。こういう目覚めちゃってる外人雇って翻訳するより、英語できる日本人がAI使いつつ翻訳の方がよほど元のニュアンスを活かしてフラットに訳せると思う

@AngelusHector @PRAGMATAgame The hacking was great and will set this game apart from generic third-person shooters that all feel the same. Been wanting a game like this with more depth.

@tash__i @Pirat_Nation Not even remotely the same. 3D modeling and digital painting require training, skill and creativity. Generative AI does not.

@Pirat_Nation I understand her point and passion. Ai is a tool, its a same as any other tool. Look at the 3D modeling soft, Digital Art Soft, they all use algorithms based on inputs.
Hate comes from NOT understanding. Ai goal is to improve manual redundancy, faster idea flow, problem solving.
