Can confirm that there is planning -- not yet approved -- to potentially send a few thousand soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division to Iran, per two officials. This comes after @WashingtonPost first reported earlier this month that the HQ of the 82nd Airborne had abruptly canceled a training exercise, fueling internal speculation it could be involved in any ground operation President Trump approves.

We need a compromise in New York: Allow bets on New York college teams in the NCAA tournament. Today, we have three games off the books in New York because of the prohibition. If the Gaming Commission wants to continue it for regular season and conference tournaments, fine. But it should be lifted for the NCAA tournament.

My husband and I take every Thursday and Friday of the tournament off and watch hoops for four days straight. Tonight, I snuck the NCAA wrestling tourney into our multiview. I’ve recruited my husband as a new fan. I loved shooting wrestling when I was a reporter. It’s awesome.
