On August 10, I’m participating in the 2025 City2Surf fun run to raise funds for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse (& to have a bit of fun too!). I have been a doctor at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for more than 25 years. I was fortunate enough to know Chris when I was a junior doctor at RPAH in the late 1990’s. We worked together for many years helping patients and performed important research together that has impacted the field. I considered him a friend, a mentor and a brilliant surgeon. I can’t thank Chris and others enough for their support and dedication to cancers and the care for patients. The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney is an amazing institution treating and supporting people through their cancer journey and it is wonderful to see the legacy of Chris and his wife Gail‘s dedication to improving cancer care. Today, I managed to run a half marathon 21.1 kilometres with the support of my running coach, the Ultra Marathon Champion and the Australian of the year, Grace Tame. To be honest, before I met Grace, I felt running was tiring.

I'm super excited to announce that my solo exhibition " My Message is Love " is open for viewing 1st of March -1st of June at the Maitland Regional Art Gallery. It's been 4 years now that I’ve been free and without your support my freedom would not have been possible.

So since 13 of the 18 gold were won by Aussie women. Does that mean women’s sports will get the money, sponsorship, media coverage and respect they deserve moving forward? 🤷🏻‍♀️
