Energy data nerds; where do i find annual generation (MWh) for individual generators? I need to figure out capacity factors for power plants in Louisiana.

We need honest dialogue about what it will cost to meet Canada’s GHG targets. Nobody is saying the cost of technology to avoid emissions is zero, or cheap. But the idea that zero tech is available, and the ONLY option is to shutter production should not be viewed as credible.

It’s one thing for CBOC and Deloitte to do a bad job when the draft regs weren’t even out yet, but the PBO needs hold itself to a higher standard. Publishing analysis of GHG mitigation policies assuming zero GHG mitigation is available is just ridiculous. What’s the point?

I dislike the oil and gas cap intensely, but that's just (at first skim) bad analysis. Maybe I'm missing something here, and I really hope that's true.

Did the PBO actually do an analysis of the oil and gas cap assuming that a) the only way to reduce emissions in response to new policy was to reduce production; and b) that because pathways hasn't decided on an investment, that no ccus would happen in their analysis? Good grief.

@andrew_leach As are TIER credit prices, too... And unfortunately we don't even have credit price data for the remaining 7 OBPS systems in Canada.

@andrew_leach @bataille_chris Is the ECCC report available somewhere? I heard the testimony they tabled it to the committee but couldn't find anything on the FINA committee web page.

@bataille_chris Definitely. I am also *very* curious to see what their model actually does with the OBPS and how it actually models the effect of carbon pricing on the economy. My expectation is that the ECCC report that the PBO leaked today has results driven by indust. competitiveness impacts.

Neat to be flipping through the federal budget and come across a callout box and figure citing your work. Congrats @ClimateInstit @enviroeconomics on the the ongoing high-impact of this report.
