Year 10 doing rates of reaction practical 🥼

Over 45000 students took part in the the Biology Challenge this year. Our KJAR students have made us extremely proud by achieving over 20 awards, including Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Science enrichment activity 🧬🥼🧪 this week students have been taking part in making their own seed bombs to promote biodiversity in their community, along with making their own natural dyes out of fruits and vegetables 🥦 🍇🍒🍊

Recently our lovely Year 9s produced some brilliant work revolving around designing their own green city to tackle global warming. Lots of interesting discussions over the use of green energy 🌍🌱and fossil fuels

Year 9 students have been exploring the wonders of pond weed to make sugars using photosynthesis 🌿

The TOTB Finalist’s also had a chance to see Dolly the Sheep, Holyrood palace, Parliament of Scotland and the incredible Arthur’s Seat ⛰️. A truly memorable and incredible trip 🤩

KJAR’s Top of the Bench Finalist - Monica, Holly, Evie and Evlyn in Edinburgh! Explored the National Museum of Scotland, learnt lots about genetics and energy along with enjoying the Royal Mile Walk and the deep history of Edinburgh at the Edinburgh Museum.
