Incredibly lucky to have spotted this, right near the edge of the bank among the pebbles were these brook lamprey (Lampetra planeri) building a nest and spawning. These animals are protected and require special permits to handle, after taking this video I left them in peace.

Given how we know how AI generated images scrape and steal art from artists, as well as the environmental impact of AI generated images. Its disappointing seeing it in a place focused on conservation. I know several artists that would have been happy to participate in this.

(1/2) went to @DublinZoo to check out the zoorassic trail! The stautes are great fun and loved the pterosaur on the roof! But I am disappointed with how they have used AI generated images in the signage (see my reply to this)

@ScienceSkink Amazing! We’re due another field trip btw! We’ll have to wait a decade for the Dead Zoo but maybe we can break into the TCD zoological museum sometime ;) :D

I understand that we have very unique fields of vision among animals, but at the same time I can't really wrap my head around what other animals would see. I'm biased, as you'd probably expect.
