@VisInBlue @zbogus77 Malazan is the greatest work of fiction/fantasy I’ve ever read. It’s so enormous, the fact that it’s even able to wrap up in any convincing way it remarkable. Kruppe kicks ALL the ass. But yeah - it’s 10x better on a reread.

Just felt like the CG reveal wasn't foreshadowed well. I want to reread it looking out for it. Kruppe is my favorite character of all time.

@ScratchMoore @zbogus77 I struggled with Cripple God. I expected so much more from the finale and it felt very Dues Ex Machina and with some of the bad guys not always being bad.

Exactly. Even if the politics don't land for you, it still works extremely well as a fun stoner comedy with a diverse cast of characters. It's also an awesome T2-style chase thriller. It works extremely well as a movie; the foundation is rock solid.
