ICE cars best efficiency is in the highest gear at 60–70 km/h (35–40 mph). EV theoretically best efficiency (without the usage of AC) is at about 40 km/h (25 mph). This is the reason why EVs excel in city driving. 30–50 km/h (20–30 mph) is their “heaven”. And since ICE cars cannot regenerate while braking, they just double down their advantage.

@brad_ebel @Rainmaker1973 Im an engineer, its part of material science. Since the sword is rusty, I'm guessing it's carbon steel, and carbon steel loses its hardening if it's normalized without being cooled in a controlled manner. You can clearly see that the steel is being heated to anneal.

I've been learning about laser cleaning for several years. What makes you think this would destroy the hardness? Do you have any links to an article or study? I've seen video of using a laser to take off just a couple layers of atoms from priceless works of art to clean them and also to clean the ink off of paper. If the setting is correct the metal should see minimal heating.
