Not to make this about me but all of the discourse hits exactly what I was getting at with my fic. It does not matter a lick what Hayden’s intentions are or who he wants to be. His actions are his actions, and those are things that cause permeant repercussions.

When I was writing Circuit Breaker I thought about this scene and if Yuna needed to be more like this but then I decided I genuinely couldn’t do that to little 4 year old Shane

@hollanbun I feel like this isn't Yuna rejecting emotions; This is Yuna and Shane doing something that they have discovered works for Shane during emotional moments. I would say, this probably is a safe space for Shane, he is letting go in this moment.

I really do not like to overuse lynchian as a film adverb but Connor Storrie truly understands the genre as a director I truly think more than anyone and it makes me feel some type of way to have found him almost a year after David’s passing.

@jiucum Well imo I wrote this because I wanted to see it and enjoy it and I put a lot of work into this so yeah! I’m gonna reread for fun! And I think it makes me a better writer to reflect on the things that I wish I did different a day/week/month out after publishing.

Fic writers who can’t draw for shit, is anybody else deeply pained by the need to bring visuals to a scene in your fic? Mine is depressed Ilya letting nature cleanse him while Shane paddles. An image I invented in my own mind keeps me up at night.
