Ultimately, even if it fumbles the ending, I think The Amazing Digital Circus is the show that captures the spirit of the 2020s.

@Aminah_Artz7 @SvLasagna Tragically this would also be the truth of things. To admit a flaw would be to treat every villainous thought Bubble echoed as true. Caine can either be perfect or a failure: it's all everyone else's fault or it's all his. He allows himself no middle ground

@SvLasagna only reason this can't happen is Caine believing himself to be rid of flaw and perfect, therefore the mere suggestion he needed "patching" would insult his code. This could've been so sweet tho

If you need Edelgard's fate to be a direct consequence of her actions, isn't betraying the Agarthans and warring without them also part of that?

Thales is not Umbridge. Maybe he would if he did it to anyone other than edelgard (except hubert, monica... any empire allied BE, really)
edelgard would be Umbridge, even if not for the same reasons Umbridge is Umbridge.

I already hate Thales, he's a genocidal hate sink. He's already an animal
But instead of edelgard being treated like the animal she herself is, the game wants me to pity the bitch, because again, being lobotomized was not a consequence or her actions

@author_pandp Honestly I love Edelgard's role in AG because it's the most the story did to make me hate Thales. If you want to show a villain's malice? Don't have them harm another character: have them hit them where it hurts Edelgard values her autonomy above all else. Take that away? Animal
