Last year, my wife and I quietly started building a small emergency supply at home. Not because we are doomsday preppers. But because we have two kids, and the world over the past few years has felt a little more unpredictable than it used to. So we bought canned food, pasta, water, and a few extra packs of diapers. And then we completely forgot about it. One day my father-in-law mentioned he had also started prepping. He had made a handwritten list of all the food in his stock with expiration dates and checked it every single day to see if anything was about to expire. I loved the idea. But immediately thought this should be possible to do smarter. That thought became Prepit. A simple app where you log your supplies with expiration dates and get a push notification when something is about to expire. No handwritten lists. No forgotten cans at the back of the cupboard that are 3 years past their date 😅 You can sort by category, location, and date. You can invite your partner or family into the same stock. And there is a built-in list of good things to keep on hand if you are not quite sure where to start. Quite a few people have already found it in the App Store and are using it actively. i've had 3 generations of mx master mouse and ANY wired mouse kicks its ass all day every day it's heavy, clunky, has way more delay, and you don't need more than 3 buttons, it's truly a performative mouse.
