The Portland Press Herald wrote yesterday about a simulation on the Maine governor’s race and they are projecting Nirav Shah as the Democrat nominee. If you haven’t heard yet, there is also a failed Augusta career politician running as an independent for governor in November named Rick Bennett. So let me be clear about what this November is going to look like. Maine is going to have a choice between real change and two failed Augusta insiders who helped create every single problem we are dealing with right now. Nirav Shah came to Maine after failures and deaths in Illinois, closed our businesses, closed our churches, shut down our schools, forced mandates on our people, created chaos, and then left for Washington the moment the cameras faded. He is a Janet Mills clone who would open our borders and see illegals flood our streets and waste more taxpayer money. Nirav Shah does not deserve to be rewarded with the Blaine House. And Rick Bennett is a failed career Augusta politician. He had his chance and failed. He was part of the system that failed you. Together, these two are responsible for: Rising crime in our towns Failed economic policies and crushing taxes A homeless crisis that is out of control Reading scores that have fallen below Mississippi Seniors being priced out of their own homes A hospital system that is collapsing I have never held a position in Augusta.
