The sickle cell patients I’ve seen are always in and out of the hospital and avoid heavy workouts. They eat healthy, yet you can still tell something is wrong. How do you balance everything ?

I was talking with this fine doctor for months . He traveled to Canada with PR visa and was doing fine . One day he asked me “ I’m a spec . Fine and rich . I can bring you over to Canada, you can work if you choose to or not, but aside from your pretty self what else can you offer in the relationship?” I stared at my ceiling hours after that call and bitterly admitted that he was right. I had just gotten my certificate, I was out of a job and my finances were a mess. What could I possibly offer in a relationship at that point?
