We were doing well up until the Romero red. Games out the window now. Liabilities like Romero will cost us more points than gain us long term. The best ability is availability and if he’s not saving himself for Argentina duty he’s getting bans every few weeks. Get rid.

Don’t care how good you are, as a captain you simply do not continuously put the club in perilous positions by making ridiculous challenges like that. Sick to my shit of Romero. Absolute liability.

This January has been yet another disaster from our incompetent board. Addressed ZERO issues and arguably weakened our ever-thinning squad. Actually feel for Thomas Frank. He’ll take the pelters while the real villains cower away behind empty promises in a matchday programme.

@Spelt_D_o_n_a_l But there seems to have been a shift in the way Palhinha, and others, have been told to play the ball. Xavi also looks braver and more positive. I’m not saying we’ve turned a corner but at least we’re trying to. Majority of the season we’ve just hoofed it up the wing.

@Spelt_D_o_n_a_l Yep absolutely agree. He’s been directed to pass safe because he’s been profiled as someone who ‘can’t pass’. Yeah he’s not a creative midfielder but he can pass it forward if directed ffs. Bentancur has never looked poorer on the ball this season and it’s not a coincidence.

There has been a distinct tactical shift in the way our midfield plays in the last 2/3 games. Palhinha having this stat is proof because this is not his style. I’m still very much in the #FrankOut camp but at least he’s FINALLY trying to vary the way we utilize the midfield.

@blktechfie84239 Listen Robbos a good player who isn’t the player he was but does strengthen us. There’s other areas I think we needed/need to look at before another LB though tbh.

@SpursViews_ Andy Robertson has quality crossing ability something we are lacking from the left. Souza will need time to adapt.

I was willing to give the Gallagher signing a pass based on the assumption that we would still be strengthening the GLARINGLY obvious areas we need to strengthen but no. We’re signing 2 left backs. Hilariously bad squad planning.

@L3wisK3mp Totally agree with this. He was much more suited to that role than he is at LB to be brutally honest. Way less pressure when he loses the ball and has the pace to go up and down that wing.

@SpursViews_ He was great tracking back and protecting Destiny as well. Need someone similar to protect Porro also.

Djed Spence has somehow gone from a pretty average right back to a very good backup left back to a very effective dribbly, touchline left winger. Looked very comfortable there tonight.

@doeboymr2 Yep Kolo turned up once this season and it was against his parent club. Probably to give 2 fingers to them and hasn’t bothered since. Horrendous loan

Xavi Simons absolutely top notch - ran the show. Probably MOTM. But you cannot underestimate the importance of Dominic Solanke tonight. His link up play, energy, effective pressing - superb. Chalk and cheese between him and the other two chuckle brothers.
