@RDamscas Ungraceful. If you're (in a general sense) someone who can use the axe? Absolutely all the power to go but I absolutely couldn't. As soon as I got the Saif, I never looked back

@SubjectCalloway The axe was fun, and the rally on it FUCKS. But it's just a little too much for practicality.

Fun fact for any newcomers: This fight can be done in ~two minutes (half a minute if doing a cheese method). 1. Get some fire papers from Albert before entering Old Yharnam. 2. Get a Saw Cleaver. 3. Get the beasthood pellets post shortcut. 4. Blood cocktails.

@RDamscas Ungraceful. I did not like the axe in the slightest, had good crowd control and technically damage output but it was such a boring weapon imo.

@SubjectCalloway Oh, yeah, the moveset on the saw cleaver is about as basic as vanilla ice cream. It's good, it's really good, but it's nothing spectacular. But you won't HAVE to swap over to anything else if you build it right. It's the overall best weapon, and has never let me down. Unlike him.

@RDamscas Ungraceful. They do, absolutely, they force the player character back and forwards relatively, but the DPS is alot higher as well because it's such a quick weapon. Admittedly the move set it rather bland, 100% but if I had the option of a beast hunter saif and saw cleaver? Yeah.

@SubjectCalloway The saif has a good moveset, but think on this. Does it scale with both strength and skill a really well, levels, and does the moveset have any weird gimmicks to it, like a more than average delay between L1's? Cause if I'm not mistaken, both L1 moves push you in or out.

@RDamscas Ungraceful. I much prefer the beast hunter saif, it far exceeds the saw cleaver! Plus the addition of fire paper like you mentioned or even bolt paper makes it even more superior!

@SubjectCalloway Nope. Best overall weapon. Rakuyo is the best skill weapon, the HMS makes me horny just thinking about it, the pizza cutter fucks like its still in college. But the saw cleaver is the definitive overall best weapon in all of Bloodborne, base and DLC
