👺I mean. Is that not the point? Haru could never win, and was mistreated by her owners and “caretakers,” yet never gave up and always did her best. In retirement, she was gentle, even winning a “race” for the first time.

@Sunday_Sil // while the sentiment here is sweet, Haru Urara was a horse and didn’t have conceptions like perseverance like a human does. she didn’t “not give up” because she had some deep seated motivation, she was a horse. animals don’t have this same kind of thought process we do.

Sunday stood before the Goddess statue in the courtyard of Tracen Academy. Her worn boots were already falling apart at the seams, yet her feet didn’t ache-no, they itched for.. more.

Sunday smiled to herself, then slowly dragged her hand up to her head, scratching her hair as she looked around. Calm, warm, gentle-that was what the world looked like.
But she knew the truth.

She sighed, taking the coat before tossing it into the water. Suddenly, the coat slowly began to fade, as though being pulled from reality itself.
And then, once it was gone…
