It is sad to see state policies forcing school districts to change their focus from college admissions to college readiness. We are lowering the ambitions of so many first-gen students. It is painful to watch.

Agreed! Vocabulary levels are the #1 predictor on SAT and ACT scores...probably income levels as well.
