@JackStack9 In grad school we once played a version of PowerPoint Karaoke where we took one of Vigen's graphs and a person would have to make up a plausible mechanism to connect the two variables on the spot.

Teaching my students about the importance of not taking correlation at face value today, found this amazing example from tylervigen.com/spurious-corre…. Moral of the story, we need to think critically about potential processes driving correlation (or is it a coincidence?).
