Champions again! 🏆 The KIU Crows today presented the 2026 Western Uganda Men’s Regional XVs Rugby League trophy to the KIU Senate, marking back-to-back regional titles and an unbeaten season. Led by MVP Joshua Aijuka and Captain Clement Ogwal, the Crows sealed a flawless campaign with a 22-9 win over Buddu Bears in Masaka on April 25. Head Coach Asa Muhanguzi made history, guiding the team through a season without defeat, a first for the club. This is KIU’s 4th Western Rugby title: 2016, 2017, 2025, 2026. Gabriel Aredo highlighted the importance of rugby in shaping discipline, unity & opportunity among young people, calling on the community to embrace the sport. 📌 Rubirizi District in Ankole region are also readying themselves for the establishment of a Kayangwe Age Grade Rugby Centre in the district 🔥👏 … A huge step in positioning Rubirizi as an emerging hub for grassroots rugby development in Uganda.
