🗞️ Summary of what happened in Islamabad according to the IRGC-linked Tasnim News Agency: 1⃣ - The Iranian delegation led by Qalibaf and including Abbas Araghchi and Ali Bagheri arrived late on April 9 and held two meetings with Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir and one with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, both to coordinate and to protest early U.S. breaches. 2⃣ - Talks began with Pakistan’s prime minister at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed a few hours later by negotiations with the U.S. side. Discussions in total, including first with senior level U.S. officials, and then with expert teams, lasted more than 21 hours in total. 3⃣ - Iran repeatedly presented new initiatives and tried to invite the American side to accept reality. U.S. excessive demands in each round prevented reaching a common framework. 4⃣ - After further Pakistani mediation and another round of talks and text exchanges early Sunday, negotiations ended without result, with Iranian sources blaming the unchanged American attitude. 5⃣ - No date or location has yet been set for the next round of negotiations.
