This is the wealth creation formula: A = P (1 + r/100)^ t Where... A = Future value of your investment P = Initial amount invested r = Annual rate of return (%) t = Time in years It's that simple. However, many investors focus too much on r (returns) and ignore P (money invested) and t (time). Consider this... 25% on a Sh 100k portfolio is Sh 25k. 10% on a Sh 500k portfolio is Sh 50k Don't obsess over chasing the highest returns. Focus on increasing the amount you invest and staying invested for a longer period. Consistently grow your portfolio and give your money more time to compound.

Some deaths leave a wound. Others leave a silence so heavy that words fail. In 2023/2024, through my sister and friend @charlruto , I had the privilege of visiting Komul Farm. The Kili family welcomed us with warmth, humility and generosity that I will never forget. Rodney Kili personally took us around the farm. He patiently answered every question, explained every process and shared his knowledge with such passion that by the time I left, I genuinely felt inspired to become a farmer myself. From the farm, Rodney and his sister, June Chebet Kili, took us to their milling plant where MFALME UNGA is produced. I climbed the silos, witnessed the milling process and watched as the flour was packaged. It was an eye-opening experience made even more memorable by the kindness of the family. I still remember June Chebet driving her white Mercedes as she led the way. I followed behind her while Rodney drove behind me. It feels like yesterday. Then tragedy struck. Rodney Kili lost his life in a horrifying farm accident when a tractor he was repairing suddenly ran over him, killing him instantly. The news shattered me. It was difficult to comprehend that such a vibrant, hardworking and promising young man was gone. Today, heartbreak has visited the Kili family once again. Less than two years after losing Rodney, the family has now lost his sister, June Chebet Kili, who passed away while undergoing treatment. How much pain can one family endure? To lose one child is devastating. To lose two children within such a short span of time is a grief beyond imagination. It is the kind of pain that changes a family forever, leaving empty seats at the table, unanswered phone calls and memories that bring both comfort and tears. My heart breaks for the Kili family. I mourn not only the loss of Rodney and June, but also the dreams they carried, the lives they touched and the future that will never be. May God give strength to their parents, siblings, relatives and friends during this unimaginable season of sorrow. Rest in eternal peace, Rodney Kili. Rest in eternal peace, June Chebet Kili. Gone too soon. Gone before your time. Gone, but never forgotten.

Opposition is weak, and I can see people trying to force Kenyans to love and believe in a weak opposition. Yes, Ruto can be removed through the ballot, but then what are you offering Kenyans? Matiang’i, Riggy G and other KANU orphans repackaged as liberation? If you start an impeachment campaign against Ruto and only manage 7 signatures, what happens next? We are the ones who will be abused here on social media as losers, while Ruto gets more fuel to move around saying he cannot be removed through hashtags, bitter Kikuyus, social media noise or people allegedly funded by Uhuru a narrative intelligence agencies want it picks. And what exactly will you do to MPs who refuse to sign or oppose the impeachment? What will happen to them that did not happen after they voted YES for the Finance Bill? I refuse to be dragged into political unrealities by Gen Zs and online activists who keep Kenyans inside a coping mechanism instead of facing the actual balance of power. I used to be that emotional in my early years on Twitter, around 2011 to 2015, not anymore, we have to be realistic. It is the same reason I keep saying Ruto cannot be removed through protests that run from 8am to 6pm like people are reporting to work. The summary of everything is simple... Kenyans are not angry enough. They are not mad enough. Not yet.

🕊️ Cecilia Wanjiku, a Form Four student at Utumishi Girls, is being remembered for extraordinary courage during the dormitory fire. Reports say she repeatedly helped classmates escape, waking sleeping students, guiding others through smoke and shouting instructions as panic spread. After helping save others, Cecilia later succumbed to injuries sustained in the fire. Kenya mourns a young life remembered for bravery, compassion and selflessness. 💔

Rigathi Gachagua must stop pretending he is on a holy mission to save Kenyans while spending his energy sanitizing Uhuru Kenyatta and the Kenyatta family empire. If Rigathi wants to lecture the country about corruption, greed and betrayal, he must also explain his own billions. Which industry built him? Which factories? Which exports? Which invention? Which serious enterprise created that kind of wealth? Kenyans are tired of politicians who become billionaires through tenders and proximity to power, then return later wearing the costume of saviours. And why this obsession with defending Uhuru? Uhuru’s administration left Kenya drowning in debt, Eurobond questions never disappeared, state capture exploded, connected families became richer, and ordinary Kenyans were handed the bill. Ruto has made the crisis even more worse, but Uhuru helped build the road to this disaster. Is Rigathi honestly trying to save Kenyans from Ruto’s greed and failures with his 'opposition', or is he trying to rehabilitate one corrupt power network so it can replace another? The journey of saving Kenyans cannot be led by people obsessed with defending the same Kenyatta family empire that benefited while the country was being looted, borrowed into a hole, and handed over to another gang of thieves.

When you hear politicians suddenly uniting to tell you who the “enemy” is, pause and ask yourself one question: Who benefits when citizens are divided and distracted? Too often, the political class closes ranks not to defend the people, but to defend the system that feeds them. They want Kenyans fighting each other while corruption, impunity, unemployment, and economic injustice continue unchecked. The moment someone begins questioning the structure of exploitation, the wardens of the prison quickly unite and point at a new “enemy” to keep the prisoners distracted. Kenyans must stop worshipping political camps and start defending principles. Accountability is not tribal. Justice is not regional. Truth is not partisan. The real struggle is not between ordinary citizens. The real struggle is between a corrupt system and the people paying the price for it every day.

Nearly half of Kenya’s projected FY 2026/2027 budget will go to debt servicing instead of development. Out of the Ksh 4.82 trillion budget, taxpayers will pay approximately Ksh 2.3 trillion toward debt obligations, including Ksh 1.3 trillion consumed purely by loan interest payments before meaningful development spending even begins. Under Kenyan law, debt repayment is a “first charge” on national revenue. Creditors are paid first, before hospitals, schools, counties, agriculture, or public services. At the same time, Kenya continues borrowing heavily to repay maturing loans and cover budget deficits. The public debt has now risen to approximately Ksh 12.4 trillion, while ordinary citizens continue facing unemployment, high taxation, failing services, and rising economic hardship. Kenyans must ask: Who borrowed this money? Were all these loans borrowed procedurally as per the constitution? Who benefited? Why should citizens repay debts arising from corruption, secrecy, inflated contracts, and mismanagement? An odious debt is not a people’s debt. It is a regime debt. This constitutional and economic battle continues in court. The matter comes up on 25th June 2026 at the Milimani Law Courts. Kenyans must remain vigilant. This fight is about economic justice, accountability, and the future of our Republic. #DeniBandia #OdiousDebt #ReKe

On this day, 18 years ago, on 12 May 2008, I published my first article in the @NationAfrica challenging the injustice of odious debt. I argued then, as I do now, that debts incurred against the interests of the people cannot morally or legally be imposed on generations that never consented to them. Africa must stop begging for relief from debts designed to enrich a few and impoverish millions. We must audit, question, repudiate, and prosecute where necessary. Odious debt is not development. It is economic capture. The struggle continues. #DeniBandia #ReKe #OdiousDebtKe

🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on West Ham’s disallowed goal for a foul on Arsenal’s Goalkeeper David Raya "I tell ya what, that VAR decision is a complete and utter disgrace – an absolute joke! All season long Arsenal have been crowding the goalkeeper on set-pieces, pushing, shoving, blocking – it’s been their main tactic from day one. We saw it clear as day against us at Old Trafford when Saliba backed straight into Bayindir, stopped him from making a proper save, and they nicked a goal through Calafiori. Nothing given. Not a murmur. But now, in a massive title-deciding match against West Ham, when it doesn’t suit them... suddenly it’s a foul on Raya? Are you kidding me? What the hell are we even watching in this league anymore? It’s shameless, it’s embarrassing. At this rate just hand the title and the trophy over to Arsenal now, because it’s glaringly obvious what they’re trying to pull. Total, utter disgrace."

Harry Truman once said: “The only thing new in the world is the history you do not know.” Fellow Kenyans, our crisis did not begin yesterday. The looting. The illegal debt. The betrayal of the Constitution. The collapse of public services. The silence of career politicians. These are old scripts repeated by leaders who believe Kenyans forget quickly. They believe another scandal will trend. Another distraction will come. Another funeral, another handshake, another coalition, another slogan. Meanwhile, you pay more taxes for debts you never approved and never benefited from. Between 2014 and 2024, Kenya borrowed Sh9.11 trillion. Only Sh2.57 trillion received proper parliamentary approval. The remaining Sh6.54 trillion is odious debt, unconstitutional borrowing forced onto the backs of struggling citizens. This is why food prices rise while wages stagnate. This is why hospitals lack medicine while billions disappear. This is why schools decline while politicians grow richer. This is why young people graduate into hopelessness. And while Kenya bleeds, legacy politicians remain silent. Many are not fighting to fix the system. They are fighting to inherit it. They criminalize protesters. They weaponize police. They reward political loyalists with advisory jobs funded by taxpayers. They protect corruption networks while ordinary Kenyans suffer. We go to court because the Constitution is the last line of defense between the people and organized state plunder. From the struggle for independence in 1963, to Saba Saba, to the 2010 Constitution, every generation of Kenyans has been called to defend freedom against greed and impunity. History is watching us now. If we remain silent while our country is looted, future generations will remember us as the people who watched Kenya collapse and did nothing. Read history. Defend the Constitution. Reject fear. Reject silence. Reject thieves disguised as leaders. We must be a nation that reads, remembers, and refuses to be misled by the same old tricks. Know your history, defend your rights, and let us not be "newly" surprised by what we should have already learned. Kenya istahili heshima #OdiousDebt #ReKe #Constitutionalism
