One year ago, my @MofuMofuFursuit arrived at my doorstep. It was right after GSFC2025 ended, so it was kinda like an April Fool’s moment for me 😆 But I did bring her to GSFC 2026 recently! It’s not my sona’s actual birthday, but it’s definitely a moment to remember.

Fursuit makers openly complaining about an artist getting a high price for something is crazy red flag behavior. Don't be that maker guys don't be that maker. Other colleagues SEE you being shitty to others this way and you don't gain any good natured friends from it.

Before making jokes about a particular maker- please remember we are most often solo artists or very small teams. We will likely see these jokes and so will others. It impacts our business and causes discomfort It can be fun but also easily go too far Please be mindful

We got an amazing group of artists joining us for Motorized Animals WKD~ mix of familiar & new talent, MAW has definitely expanded its creativity for April. If you’ve been wanting to find new artists to support, find your faves, or just walk around and feel inspired, this is it!!

I think people see fursuits & really don't get how much hard work & variety of skills goes into making them. Patterning for example. Have to make sure direction is right, seam allowance, notching for alignment later, labelling...all before even cutting out a single piece of fur!

I'm begging some of yall to look at artist/suit makers trellos before commissioning them. You can click this little icon in the corner on mobile and view a play by play of what the artist is doing. You can also click the "show details" link on individual project cards to see how they're working thru an individual project. So you can compare their posted turnaround/wait time with their actual work flow. Some makers aren't as active on trello or don't have a public one at all (that's ok!) Look at their socials. See how often new work is posted. Ask about a queue. Ask past clients what the experience was like. Please do your research before forking over thousands to an artist. I'm so tired of seeing folks poke their heads up asking if it's normal to wait years and years for a project when the real wait wasn't disclosed. Makers need to do better, I know. But clients. Yall neeeeed to do some research. *nb4 you come for me. Yes. I know that in some cases you can do all the research in the world and it still turns out to be a dud. And im so sorry your artist mishandled you.
