I can see that the 'do something' lobby is in full force, among the politicians. What EXACTLY do you want India to do, pray tell. Bomb an American ship? throw out a few Americans? The harsh facts are these. That ship was not legally your property; it had no business being there. you lost lives, and the govt has acted exactly as it should and to the extent that it can. Beyond that, for gods sake, help the families with information, and all assistance locally. HAs a single opposition leader taken the trouble to find out how the wife of that sailor is doing? a little practical help and a little less posturing please.

@FinPaal Have seen many men with kids staying all night and many men wanted work from office during covid as they couldn't stand working with kids at home . Most men would rather spend full day at office than full day with kids so being DINK is understandable for such men

One of my colleagues is DINK not by choice, but because life turned out that way. They tried for a kid for almost 7 years and eventually stopped trying. In their 30s, it used to affect them a lot. Later they slowly accepted it, started travelling more, enjoying life, keeping themselves busy. But now they’re in their 40s, and I can sense the loneliness sometimes. They spend a lot of time with neighbors’ kids on weekends. And I often see him staying in office till 9:30 PM and coming back again by 9 the next morning. Made me realize DINK life is not always as easy or glamorous as social media makes it look. For some people, it’s a choice. For some, it’s just circumstances.

Dear @DelhiPolice, Strict action should be taken against this comedian, Madhur Virli. This is completely unacceptable. We cannot normalize this kind of behavior in society. In the name of comedy, these people are making fun of a victim on a very sensitive topic like rape which is deeply disrespectful. Humor should never be based on someone’s pain or trauma. This kind of behavior needs to be called out, not accepted.

What she said about cadavers was disrespectful and deserved criticism. It wasn’t funny and it certainly didn’t reflect the dignity expected from someone in the medical field. But calling for her license to be cancelled is excessive. Criticize her words all you want, but trying to destroy her entire career over it is wrong on so many levels.

They might be legally adults, but wouldn’t it be better to first focus on building some stability in life and completing your education? I checked PM Modi’s timeline expecting at least a word of sympathy for the three Indians killed in a U.S. military strike. There is none. Not a condolence message. Not a public expression of grief. Instead, the timeline is dominated by replies to world leaders congratulating him on becoming India’s longest-serving Prime Minister.

I'm reading comments from people after the US attacked a commercial vessel killing 3 Indians, and I'm glad they are not in government. Otherwise, we would be seeing indian submarines heading to Hormuz to attack US Navy ships. And probably start WWIII.
