@TripleH @YouTube @netflix What I like about this is there's no convoluted unnecessary celebrities or influencers thrown into the mix to try to drum up interest. HBK has done a really good job in NXT. Should be a hell of a show.

@WrestleOps With how terrible the rest of the show was, I actually found this to be comedic relief. I know it's stupid and the tag team division booking is laughable on SmackDown, this was the least concerning thing on SmackDown that I watched.

@GreatBrianLast WWE creative has been in the toilet on and off for the better part of a year, but it's not going to magically make Tony Khan become good at creative and writing stories. He doesn't know how to capitalize, he just does things his way and doesn't change.

One of the biggest things helping AEW right now is the rapid cratering of WWE's creative.

Hard disagree. Cody vs Randy on its own is a straight wrestling feud, and those don't draw casuals anymore. McAfee brings 2M+ daily listeners who wouldn't otherwise care about a WrestleMania match. This is how you grow the audience. The 'pure wrestling' crowd will watch regardless.

Adding Pat McAfee to this feud was unnecessary. It should've just been between Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes. It was supposed to be about legacy & their history.

@ProWFinesse Simple, yet effective storytelling. I don't know why they decided to convolute it unnecessarily. Pat McAfee is not going to get people to buy more tickets. From a story perspective his inclusion makes no sense either. Why would Randy listen to him? It's terrible.

@WrestleFeatures "Let it play out" is what some will tell you. Is there honestly anyway that creative could spin this in a direction that makes any sense to you or gets you excited for their match? I know there isn't for me. We don't need celebrities involved in this match, it's convoluted.

@TheMattCardona @Aleister_Blxck In reality you don't need to change anything, WWE just has a role for you where you are putting others over at this stage of your career. There's nothing wrong with that, but I did expect you to get a little bit more involved, but we'll see how things shake up.

@WWEGareth I think it's a combination of both actually. I know Triple H is capable of providing better creative than we've been getting over the past year, 2023 and 2024 showed me that and NXT Black and Gold. At the end of the day, he should shoulder equal blame.

Yes, WWE has a lot of problems at the moment, but people are being way too harsh on Triple H. I believe most of the issues are coming from people in higher places than him, and he's out of options for dealing with it. The toxic fanbase is a major but separate issue.

@TimmyBuddy Unpredictability doesn't always equate to good television. Including Pat McAfee just for the sake of being shocking is a terrible direction to take. It makes no sense from a character perspective for Orton to listen to him and Pat has no history with them. It's awful.

Right now most pro wrestling is pretty predictable. I dont think a single person predicted this at all. Good job WWE for coming up with something no one saw coming. #Smackdown

@EliteClubS0B Ever since TKO officially took over, it's no surprise that the quality of both shows have dipped dramatically from what we were getting in 2024 and 2023. I don't know who has more influence or who's finalizing all the ideas, I don't care, the creative sucks, 90% of it at least.

Pat McAfee’s words last night felt like a direct reflection of how Ari Emanuel and the TKO executives view the current state of WWE. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Triple H leaves or even gets released from WWE within the next year or so.
