I think everyone needs to understand the lighting scene hits so hard because it completed Zuko’s redemption generally and also it fully made up for his personal betrayal to Katara, saving her from the one he teamed up with and betrayed her in the past. It was meant to be Katara.

Did Zuko not have one of THE best character development arc in animated media in the past years? Is he not the reason why yall are pleading people to see ATLA as more than just a “kid’s show”? Are you truly so media illiterate that you missed the entire nurture vs nature theme?

ATLA isn't just a kid's show because it addresses genocide, colonialism, child abuse, disability, etc. in a way accurate and profound, even for an adult audience.

The common trope of pregnancy ruining a female character, why yall surprised people don’t like the canon ship? Even worse here, it feels like Katara had the children out of duty and not want. It feels like they were forced on her and the plot of the ATLA movie doesn’t help
