All the stuff about “risking the avatar spirit line” is boring and played out because you know it won’t be genuine. The franchise will have to continue as Avatar (unless some impeccable writing happens).
I’m ready to see an Avatar have potential, grasp it well, struggle due to uncontrollable circumstances, and prevail.

I actually want to follow an Avatar who is talented in a war era.
An Avatar who doesn’t mess up the Avatar line, or trying to save a lost clan. Just legit war time and this Avatar has to figure it out while all the nations are at odds.
A World War Avatar PLEASE.

I honestly wonder if a lot of the overseas hoo-hah over manga/anime has more to do with overseas literary education not being able to teach kids how to engage with literature?
Kids having to grow up not having sufficient literary education results in a lot of poor takes.
