This beautiful patrol jacket belonged to Arthur Bertram 'Bubble' Lawson DSO, 11th Hussars. Worn as undress uniform, it is braided with black mohair lace and trimmed with Astrakhan fur. Each cavalry regiment had its own distinct pattern, with this being the 11th Hussars.

Today, the College CCF marked Battle of Britain Day. The ceremony took place next to a statue of former pupil Hugh Dowding, Commander in Chief of RAF Fighter Command 1936-1940. The statue is located in War Cloister, which will be 100 years old next year.
