Today along with my brothers and sisters from around the world, we officially launched the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion at the Laureates and Leaders for Children Conclave hosted in New Delhi. @smgc_official @WithEveryChild

"We are all born with an ocean of compassion. We are a walking ocean of compassion." With these inspirational words, Nobel Peace Laureate @k_satyarthi closes the formal addresses of our 2024 Conclave, Creating a Compassionate World for Children.

At the closing ceremony for our Conclave today, Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri, former judge of the Indian Supreme Court, reminded us how we can bring the worlds of compassion, justice, & social justice together.

Our session, Compassionate Governance: Protecting Every Child covered a wide spectrum of issues, from conflict & violence to democracy & multilateralism. With thanks to our speakers for such a considered & varied discussion.

Without engaging every part of society, we will never create a compassionate world for children. Business is integral to achieving our vision. Enormous thanks to our esteemed speakers on compassionate leadership in business.

If we are to create a compassionate world for children, faith groups will be critical - and faith groups working together will be vital. Honoured to have faith leaders with us for today's conclave.

Closing our session on the role of law & #SocialProtection in ending child exploitation, @thekiranbedi, reminds us that there are many, many children whose exploitation is hidden from sight.

During our 2024 Conclave, @smgc_official was formally launched, calling for the globalisation of compassion to achieve justice, peace, equity, & sustainability.

Today with our founders @k_satyarthi & @sumedhakailash, global leaders, & amazing youth activists, we create history. The Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion was launched, declaring its vision to achieve justice, peace, equity, & sustainability by globalising #compassion.

Amar Lal, youth activist, #ChildLabour survivor, & human rights lawyer has dedicated himself to realising children's rights, & at today's conclave he makes an impassioned plea.

The #BolsaFamilia has had a huge impact on poverty reduction in #Brazil. Chief Justice Lelio Bentes Corrêa of the Superior Labor Court - & lifelong campaigner for #LabourRights - demonstrates what happens when #SocialProtection is a priority.

More children worldwide are being forced into exploitation, & all of them have the right to #justice. Former Judge of the India Supreme Court, Justice Indira Banerjee reminds of our responsibility to realise these rights.

The second half of our Conclave, Creating a Compassionate World for Children, has commenced! We start with an esteemed panel discussing the role of law & social protection in ending child exploitation - follow us to hear more.

Sumedha Kailash, an incredible campaigner for the rights of children & the Co-Founder of @smgc_official, closes our session on the Transformative Power of Compassion with powerful words - joining us together by hand & in song!

Shubham, Payal, & Kinsu, survivors of child exploitation, have dedicated their time to speak truth to power all over the world, calling not for kindness, but for the rights of children to #education & freedom. Today, they discuss the transformative power of compassion which set them on their path to activism.

Tara Banjara, a survivor of child exploitation, the first girl in her village to finish school & graduate from college, & a powerful activist for children's rights, closes our opening ceremony with passion.

It is a real honour to be joined by Padma Vibhushan @rameshmashelkar, a towering figure in science & innovation, whose life trajectory shifted enormously as a result of acts of compassion.
