99% of time this yr when player makes shot w under 8 secs to play all 3 refs blow game dead to check the clock . This time Sendek screams for timeout all 3 refs let game continue and Oweh makes it . All season that’s a dead ball w 3 refs at monitor .

Jerrod Calhoun was ticked off his team was given a 9-seed, and understandably so. Utah State is the lone Mountain West team in this year's field and now stands at 29-6 with a crack at Arizona next up Sunday afternoon in San Diego. MJ Collins is such a fun player.

FINAL: Utah State 86, Villanova 76 That was a clinic from Utah State down the stretch. Masterclass by Jerrod Calhoun. Forcing turnovers, executing in the halfcourt, MJ Collins scoring nine points in a 2:30 stretch in the final four minutes. Aggies go on a 14-1 run to win it.

The reportedly dying mid-majors have been pretty darn competitive so far w/ Miami of Ohio, High Point & VCU wins and Siena/Santa Clara/Wright St. close calls. Santa Clara was a miracle 3 from beating Kentucky's $22M roster. Anything can still happen in March.
