An excellent afternoon selling samosas and raffle tickets to raise money for my charities. A sell out, £312 made. Thank you to Kashmir Sweet Centre, Great Brickkiln Street, for supplying us with their delicious samosas.

And the dedication of staff who provide care and support to our community every day. As one of my chosen Mayoral Charities, it is especially important to recognise and support the incredible work of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

Hearing personal stories and a powerful poem shared during the event was a reminder of the strength and determination shown by those involved. Thank you to the Governor and staff for the warm welcome and for the continued work you do to support rehabilitation and positive change

It was inspiring to see individuals receive certificates for reaching key milestones – from one month through to six months – as they continue their journey towards recovery. The DRW is an important initiative, supporting people to overcome addiction.

I was pleased to revisit HMP Featherstone today to attend the Drug Recovery Wing (DRW) celebration event, recognising the hard work and progress of those taking part in the programme.

Crumbles is a wonderful space at the heart of the community, where every visit helps support the vital care and services they provide. A brilliant achievement for the whole team – a real credit to Wolverhampton. Well done to everyone involved!

Huge congratulations to Crumbles Coffee House at Compton Care on being named ‘Café/Coffee Shop of the Year’ at the West Midlands Tourism Awards 2026! ☕🏆 As one of my chosen Mayoral Charities, it is fantastic to see Compton Care receive this well-deserved recognition.

It was wonderful to come together with Cllr Chris Burden, Dr Singh, Mr Tarsem Singh from BJS Home Delivery and Professor Mak Sharma from the School of Coding and AI as we look ahead to this much-loved cultural celebration in our city.

I was pleased to join representatives from the Council of Sikh Gurdwaras, event sponsors and City of Wolverhampton Council colleagues at West Park for a photocall to mark the launch of this year’s Vaisakhi celebrations.

🍀 Happy St Patrick's Day - a fantastic breakfast event this morning when we were joined by members of our city's Irish community. Wonderful entertainment from youngsters from the Marie Connell School of Irish Dance (who even managed to get me joining in)

It was lovely to meet Pamela and hear about her continued commitment to helping others, and also a pleasure to meet her daughter Joanna during the visit. Thank you for coming to the Parlour and for your dedication to supporting the community.

I was honoured to welcome Pamela Smith to the parlour today and recognise the wonderful volunteering work she continues to do with Good Shepherd Services. The Good Shepherd has been supporting some of the most disadvantaged people in Wolverhampton for many years.

St Silas has been gathering in the former Wolverhampton Jewish Synagogue since 1994 and continues to be a place where people come together in faith, fellowship and support for one another. Wolverhampton is home to many vibrant faith communities.

Thank you to everyone at St Silas Church for the warm welcome during my visit to your Sunday service. It was a pleasure to meet members of the congregation, experience the service, and learn more about the work of this friendly and committed community.

It was fascinating to learn more about the history of this remarkable place of worship. The chapel dates back to 1728 when the Giffard family of Chillington Hall built a house on North Street where priests could live and quietly celebrate Mass for Catholics in Wolverhampton.

You wouldn’t expect such a remarkable historic church to be hidden behind the buildings of North Street. Thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality, and for providing a tour of The Catholic Church of St Peter and St Paul.
