@naailriver We're not expecting to post new content, as there's not a level of interest in Xperia (and smartphones generally) to warrant it. We'll be keeping the site in maintenance mode for now
Good to see that the Xperia 1 IV launches in Europe from 16 June 2022 for €1399/£1299. Cutting down that announcement > launch window
A sting for US fans though with a September release ($1599)
@XperiaBlog I've just figured it out. The headphones are between £230-279, and despite them being a pre-order gift, Amazon is charging the full price of £279 for them along with the phones price of £1,299. It'll be an error or something.
@Rammstone86 Erm, not sure how you make the link between a completely independent from Sony website to Sony's software update schedule for smartphones...
We are unlikely to making future posts on the website as interest has dived (you can say this for smartphones in general)
@NinjaCyborg Maybe Sony is holding off on the 5 IV until IFA. Would be strange for them to just drop it. Only seen official Sony Japan release on Ace III

@XperiaBlog What's interesting about this is that in some countries (such as Hungary), phones at this price have 3 years of warranty. Basically, full support ends before the end of the warranty even if you buy the phone on the day it's released.
@XperiaBlog They improved a lot of issues with battery, screen brightness and selfie camera but we are still missing a true basic point and shoot mode and proper software support, the pgonetis really expensive for it to get only 2 years. Also, where did you see £1299? Amazon is charging
