Policy is stronger when young people are not only consulted, but meaningfully included. YandyTech Community is proud to be part of the conversation around the Kaduna State Youth Policy and its vision for a more inclusive, innovative, and opportunity-driven future for young people. For us, this is bigger than policy language. It is about creating real pathways for youth participation, digital skills, entrepreneurship, leadership, and sustainable development. We believe young people must be seen as partners in governance, innovation, and community transformation. YandyTech Community participate in the Validation Workshop for the Reviewed Kaduna State Youth Policy. This engagement is a strong reminder that young people must not only be heard, but actively included in shaping policies that affect their future. The validation process was designed to ensure the policy reflects inclusive priorities for youths across Kaduna State, especially disadvantaged, marginalised, and vulnerable groups, including youths with disabilities. We are encouraged that the draft policy places strong emphasis on youth empowerment, digital and green skills, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, inclusion, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. It also recognizes the role of youth-led organisations and tech hubs in driving innovation, participation, and sustainable development. At YandyTech Community, we remain committed to building a future where young people are equipped with the skills, opportunities, and voice to lead change in Kaduna State. #YandyTechCommunity #KadunaYouthPolicy

Young people have the power to drive meaningful change when their voices are heard and their ideas shape policy. YandyTech Community was proud to participate in the Kaduna State Youth Policy Dialogue Workshop hosted by Bridge Connect under the Youth Leading Change Program (YLCP), with support from the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) and the Kaduna State Ministry of Youth Development. At the workshop, we shared insights from the Kaduna State-Level Youth Insight Report by YandyTech Community, contributing evidence and perspectives that can help strengthen youth policy development, review, and implementation in the state. We also highlighted our ongoing work in bridging the gap between job seekers and access to decent, thriving employment opportunities through digital empowerment, skills development, and initiatives that connect young people to pathways for economic inclusion and sustainable livelihoods. With the theme “Strengthening Youth Policy Development, Review and Implementation,” the workshop emphasized the immense potential of young people, the need for stronger youth inclusion in decision-making, and practical steps to make youth-focused policies more impactful. Strengthening Youth Voices for Regional Development! YandyTech Community, in collaboration with Bridge Connect Africa Initiative and other key stakeholders, paid an advocacy visit to the Kaduna State Ministry of Youth Development to formally introduce the Northwest Youth Development Consortium. This initiative is part of the Youth Leading Change Programme, implemented by Bridge Connect Africa Initiative with support from the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund. The visit created an opportunity to engage with the Ministry on strengthening partnerships that empower young people across the Northwest region to actively participate in development, leadership, and policy engagement. The Northwest Youth Development Consortium aims to build a collaborative platform where youth-led organizations can coordinate efforts, amplify youth voices, and drive sustainable solutions to the region’s social and economic challenges. At YandyTech Community, we believe that meaningful youth engagement is critical to building resilient communities and shaping inclusive development policies. We appreciate the Kaduna State Ministry of Youth Development for the warm reception and their commitment to supporting youth-driven initiatives.
