@hankinbeijing 我来解释一下哈，新冠最大的问题其实是ICU挤兑。ICU Capacity是决定重症死亡率的最大原因。其中对于重症ARDS患者救命的方法只有机械通气，ECMO, NIPPV等都需要配备完整的ICU Beds，这也是很多国家用“每十万人ICU床位数量”这个指标来衡量新冠重症死亡率的原因。

全国各地的医疗资源短缺问题凸显，尤其是一线城市以外的真实中国。AP的Dake老师深入一线做了专题报道，具体情况请参考下述thread。问题到底出在哪里？一方面是重症率的确比想象中的要高，另一方面是极速放开后，医疗资源的恢复速度未能赶上冬季老人慢性病/急性病的发作速度。

I just came back from two harrowing days traveling from emergency ward to emergency ward around Baoding in Hebei, one of the first areas hit by the current wave. The situation is very grim. ICU units totally overwhelmed.
