oh gosh😅 the domain for meetcafecito got purchased and the buyers replaced the landing page with some sort of online casino establishment.

Trying something new: Started a Discord Server for Startup Founders & Mentors: Startup Pods. Instead of one big community, it is split into a bunch of smaller groups (pods) each with 25 startups max. Come join and reserve your spot in a Pod👇 discord.gg/WvW8Z7ZhyH RTs 🙏

Quick team update: We lost our main developer for the time being as they take some time away. I'm working on onboarding a new developer so there will most likely be some delay in fixing bugs you are running into. DM us or me directly at @_justirma with any Q's. Thank you 🙏🏽

@thisiskp_ I was building lo-fi wires for this with my partner pre-covid and did some light research with parents who were either familiar with no code themselves or were teaching their kids how to code. Most of them were interested in exposing their kids to no-code in some way!

Quick question: Does anyone know of a no-code bootcamp that is virtual and kid-friendly? Ages under 16 Just curious if it’s a thing yet 🤔

@thorms11 is an amazing film maker who has been working on a project to share the many benefits, challenges, and so much more surrounding remote work. He's put a ton of hard work into this series and I'm excited to see it LIVE! Check out part 2 below 👇🏾

@thorms11 For sure. There's definitely some load there. Would be interesting to solve for it.

I really do think that "fractional" roles are going to become a thing. More and more people are leaving their jobs and exploring what's next. Having an option to work 5-10 hours/week for 3 companies instead of full-time 40 for 1 company is pretty appealing.

Excited to announce I’ve joined @fig as a dev advocate & head of growth! I’ve been super impressed with the team and their mission to make developers more productive. Can’t wait to show off the cool things they’ve been building and help them scale up their users!

@theshteves Good call out. Makes me think that only certain industri can adopt something like this but I wonder if overall it's just a new way of formatting how we work that we just haven't explored yet due to the complexity of enterprise co's or regulated industries like healthcare.

@_justirma I like the idea of that scenario too, but it’s only ideal for people who have differentiated themselves enough up-market to stay “above the API” We have a weird healthcare system in the US that is strongly coupled with employers that makes this extra annoying. Collectives maybe?

@Nutlope True! I do wonder how it'd work in practice. But it's in a different format than we see today with freelancing, contracting, etc. that we just haven't stumbled across.

@_justirma Love this in theory, but I wonder how it would work in practice. I also imagine this is more realistic for certain roles like PM & advising rather than hands on coding/design roles.

@vishalchandra Totally agree on specific expertise. Do you think it'll sorta become similar expectations as freelancing for a company? That's what I'm thinking but unsure. I assume expectations will have to be really clear on where that fractional role comes in and where it's needed.

@_justirma Can become overbearing with increasing demands on time Harder to work on deep problems because they will always pull you in Works really well if you are providing a specific expertise

My partner and I seriously considering renting a camper van from @BohoVans or another provider and just working remote from the van, visiting cool places, and exploring 🏞️ for a month. If you've experienced van life and have tips, please share!
